Dear Sir / Madam,

With great pleasure, this is to bring to your kind notice that Probiotic Association of India (PAi) in association with Department of Microbiology, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi and American Association for Microbiologist (ASM) are organizing 4th Biennial Conference of PAi and International Symposium on "Probiotic Therapy: Translating to Health and Clinical Practice" on 16th& 17th February, 2018 at AIIMS, New Delhi, India.

The conference will offer the lecture by the international renowned and eminent researchers, scientists and clinicians in the subject area.

Interest in probiotics is growing globally, driven in part by new products emerging in the market. The clinical uses of probiotics are broad but clinical indications based on evidence-based studies enables health professionals to confidently recommend certain probiotics for treatment and prevention in a range of diseases, conditions, and syndromes. The observation that intestinal bacterial microflora might be able to influence immune system surveillance through changed nutritional habits has raised awareness of the role of probiotics. Recent clinical trials have evaluated the clinical effectiveness of probiotics in the treatment and prevention of a wide range of acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases, and also non-gastrointestinal diseases, such as life style disorders, atopy, respiratory infections, vaginitis and hypercholesterolaemia etc.

Probiotic are well studied for the treatment and prevention of acute diarrhoea and antibiotic-induced diarrhoea, as well as for the prevention of lactose intolerance. Research on new applications for probiotics includes use for different mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, and autism, and some metabolic syndrome applications, such as weight management, cholesterol lowering, and insulin sensitivity.

The conference will also provide an interactive platform for researchers, scientist, clinician, students and Industry stakeholders. We organizers are happy to invite you all and looking forward for your gracious presence and active participation during the event.

With warm wishes and regards!
